Four Legs Good

donkey.jpg
A textbook used by schoolchildren in the Indian state of Rajasthan has suggested that donkeys make better companions than wives. One paragraph reads: "A donkey is like a housewife ... In fact, the donkey is a shade better, for while the housewife may sometimes complain and walk off to her parents' home, you'll never catch the donkey being disloyal to his master." Down in Rajasthan, you can attend Asia's largest donkey fair, where you'll be able to pick up a donkey for as little as 500 rupees, or $11. But because donkeys are priced according to the quality of their teeth, and if the animal is going to be replacing your human lover, you may want to splash out on something more aesthetically pleasing. With a top of the range donkey going for 10,000 rupees, or $220, it might be worth thinking about. Or discussing with your wife. This video shows just how beautifully a donkey can move - through the language of technology.
