Engaging Couple

Did anyone else think it was odd that after weeks of loudly denying they're an item, Jennifer Anniston and Vince Vaughn would appear together so cutely on Sunday's Teen Choice Awards? In a well-written and performed bit to accept their Movie Chemistry award (for The Break Up), the (alleged) couple, sitting side by side, had plenty of it. "When you're dealing with on-screen chemistry, it's not really an equate-able kind of thing...," Vaughn started. Aniston interrupted him by saying, "It's not something that just sorta happens; it's something that, you know...." Vaughn looked at her and said, "I guess part of having chemistry is having someone cutting you off while you're in the middle of a sentence, obviously." "I wasn't cutting you off," Aniston said, "I was actually just adding to your thoughts, 'cause I thought that's what chemistry is, two people having a conversation together, not just one person talking and talking and talking and...." Well, you saw it. It was very, um, engaging. Substitute David Schwimmer for Vaughn and it was like one of those snappy little scenes from Friends, and it showed just how good Aniston is when she's acting in a space that's only 32 inches measured diagonally.
