What is it with lame-ass names for gay cable? I'm glad Faze is out of business - how idiotic to promote the idea that being gay is just a phase - no wonder they couldn't raise enough money...

Q, you are so right... and who on earth thought up the name Logo? Logo? Sounds only slightly less proctological (?) than Endemol, the folk behind Big Brother and Fear Factor. Makes you yearn for the good old days of gay bars with names like Choices, Faces, and Options - all gay bars I have been to.

I am so glad I watched that clip until completion and noticed that that gem was copyrighted in 1985. Ahhhh, fond memories of hotcombs and parachute pants. (or the lack of them)

Hey, I've been to a couple of those clubs too Fenton. I could also add good names like Catch One, Numbers or the recently closed forever, white swallow.

Endemol only sounds good if you know that the founder is Jon De Mol and it's a Dutch thing. I guess the American equivalent would be to call Mark Burnet's company Byburnet.

Don't forget the oft used name "Rumors" for a gay club - - sometimes spelled "Rumorz" to make it whimsical and classy!

I give logo a few more months - even the most die hard queens will get tired of "Priscilla Queen Of The Desert" three times a day, with the odd episode of wonderfalls thrown in...

Most of the producers of such media miss the mark altogether - they assume that since they are targeting a gay audience, they must ONLY choose gay themed programming. Not so.

And some of us would rather not watch naked aerobics first thing in the morning. The last thing I need with my coffee and ciggarette is a big floppy set of balls - maybe it's just me.
