Gays Get What They Need

in Media

News from Wired today is that David Hauslaib, the 21-year-old gossip blogger at Jossip, is planning a Tuesday launch of Queerty, a gay general-interest blog covering fashion, lifestyle, and travel to be manned (oh, man!) by 29-year-old Bradford Shellhammer (whom we've had linked here at WOW for seemingly ever).

Writes Fenton Bailey: Wired has an interview with Queerty's perpetrators, who say that they "want to be a bit sassier than Andy" of Towleroad. I don't need to hear that!

Hitting their stride, they say, "It takes more than butt plugs and nipple clamps to titillate gay readers." Maybe.

But then they say "Andrew Sullivan really kinda creeps me out. Some people care more about their wallets than their civil rights." Finally something we can all agree on!

Oh gee, a website catering to gays that covers fashion and travel - what a fucking pioneer this douchebag is...

When will these fuckers understand that not ALL fags are into fashion etc...some of us actually like things like sports, and cars etc...

Gay culture needs an enema...

I just checked out the site and it looks like it hasn't launched yet. The name is a bit unclear though. What does Ty Pennington being Queer have to do with a gay lifestyle? Queer Ty makes no sense.

Also what kind of lifestyle will it be selling/promoting? Is it the upper middle class white one that is so popular with the gay cable channels and national gay press?

Why do these gay lifestyle pushers always seem to forget that most gay men can't afford to spend five grand every season for the latest fashions while booking holidays to exotic locales and gossiping about the teenage starlets they're emulating?

Gay "lifestyle" has been bought and sold so many times that it's now a bastardized caracature of itself.

Funny how gay media, striving to bring the world a slice of REAL life, have succeeded only in promoting a life that doesn't actually exist.

odd how someone claiming to be so engaged with a real life of some sort has all of this time to sit around criticizing others' new projects. maybe homo doesn't have any friends to fix cars with?

It's not my fault you have to pull double shifts at Tacobell just to pay the rent. Trying selling a few organs, they pay good money for that. You could even spare your brain - I mean, you're not using it.

I don't work because, quite simply, I don't have to motherfucker. Jealous? Yes, of course you are...

And it's not like it takes a long time to think of new ways to own the shitbags that post here.

You make it TOO easy.

Don't hate...
