Camillazilla and the Prince
Apropos of Tim Hancock's post, the NY Post's inimitable Cindy Adams attended the party in Manhattan yesterday for Prince Charles and his duchess wife, Camilla. Old-schoolers like Joan Collins, Henry Kissinger, Barbara Walters, Donald Trump, and Elaine Stritch notably replaced the likes of Diddy, Paris, and Lindsay on the guest list. Everyone wore dressy black, except the always inappropriate Elaine Stritch, who went in a brown sweater vest and tights and who poked Charles with her finger to get his attention. "Why the fuck is everyone so dressed up?" she asked Adams. Adams asked Charles how he managed to act charming and rested and interested in everyone's same-old questions. "Well, there are many things that I could probably come up with for an answer," he said, "but if you really want to know the truth, it's quite simple. It's a thousand years of breeding. I mean, if you really want to know."
