Ha ha very funny I think Emily is cute and so is Adam (the person you refer to as that kid) they would probably be great friends and play like kids you idiot! They are children or are you forgetting that. If you are with World of Wonder and have seen any of the tapes of Adam you would know he is a normal kid. Hello my name is Carlye Slaughter and I live in a little town in P.A called Sharpsville ( Don't even try and look for it on a map cuz the closet thing you'll find is sharon :)... but anyways thats not was i want to say) I love the T.V show showbiz moms and dads! Today i was bored so i watched the last one where it showed how mean people where to you and stalking you... yeah thats not cool! and it made me so sad to see the things that people said about you and your family! I know how hard it must be for you, I'm 17 and i've been modeling since i was 14 and I know in those few years what kids have said to me and the things people said to my mom when we went to photo shoots made me want to die, they where so mean. I think Emily is sooooo pretty and when she grows up.... get the gun out cuz boys are going to be at you door 24/7!!!! Both of your kids seem so down to earth and I think people need to grow up and let you and your family live. I hope things have gotten better since the show and if they did you can always run away to Sharpsville! I'd babysit :)!

thank you so much for your kind comments! We have come a long way since the show aired and Emily still loves being on stage and showing off LOL.
We are slowing down a little on pageants so that she can work more on school and being in kindergarten. She did her first sleepover last weekend and is just growing up so fast! She even got her first loose tooth!
Anyway thank you again for all your kind words! It really does mean alot to us as we take what other people say to heart. Have a great week all !

Hello everyone.
Just wanted to fill you in on how Emily did on her pageants. She won every one of them and got the grand supreme ( higest score in whole pageant ) at all 3! Whoo Hoo go Emily! We are very proud of her and she is ready to go again!
She also lost her first tooth last week and is so excited. She has told everyone that she is a "big girl" now LOL

hey debbie,i just wanna say what u and emily are doing together is great and after watching u on the show i joined pageants myself and put my neice in them and she used to be so hyper and not very outgoing but now she is so much more poised and mature just like lil emily,u are doing such a great job and from watching u im am too, keep it up! luv erica and jillian

Well I think Emily is adorable and her mom is very nice. I have been in pageants for over 25 years , I have also been a judge , emcee, director , and now I own my own pageant company. I have seen all different aspects of the pageant world , and I am still learning. Debbie is not a horrible Mom, nor a psycho stage mom {trush me , I've seen em}nor controlling , or whatever else some of you wish to say. I think a lot of it comes from jealousy , insecurity, and some of these parenst need to grow up and stop harping on this family. Ps I love Grandma Tye too ......I wonder how she is ?

This is bizarre. Can anyone see the insanity of Deborah Tye? Does the phrase 'a producer just fell in love with her' make anyone else feel ill? This should be obvious, but children should not get fake tans, participate in bathing suit competitions, (revolting) get make up on, and be BULLIED INTO LIVING OUT THEIR MOTHER'S DREAMS. Deborah, Get.Some.Help. Your child is not enjoying herself. She is performing for your love.

putting a bathing suit on a pageant child is no different than putting a leotard on your daughter for a dance recital . The make up is stage make up , Emily knows when the show is over the make up comes off. Just like if a child were to be in a school play, they dress up just for the show. Being competitive ? It happens in soccer, karate , dance, swimming, football, any sport a child does. She wasnt bullied into this , she loves it. sometimes she got tired or would fuss a bit - shes little - what child doesnt ? I dont see why people attack pagents.

Hi im a mum of two and a nursery nurse fron England. I have to say ive just watch the programme "Showbiz Mums and Dads!" and i must say "What a Mum!". As i watched i observed you on several occassions totally dismiss your daughters feelings simply by blackmailing and belittling her.In one section you quoted "I am beginning to realise she isn't perfect!", and i have to say this quote said it all.
I work with many children with differant disabilities and disorders and can i say these children are the world to their parents, and perfect in everyway disabilities and all!
You say on the programme that when your daughter wonts to stop she can. SHE ASKED YOU TO STOP! and you didn't. Let her be a little girl. Let her play with friends, let her jump in puddles and roll in dirt.She's a child not a dog or a toy. She has feelings and thoughts let her be herself! You may say this is what she wants.How would she know when she knows nothing differant from this. If i could suggest anythink or even if you would just take in anything ive said,all i would say is watch the show and watch yourself "PLEASE!"

All of us mom's think our children are spectacular, but most of don't brag to the world how much better our child is than the rest. I find your "look how wonderful my daughter is" attitude deplorable. Your child is special only to you, not to the world. Keep your family business to your family.

this is so funny i came upon this accidently looking up pageant information (the dates for the citrus pageant)Oh by the way for my son.lol-i felt i needed to comment.i just love debbie and her mom and emily and emilys brother.they are wonderful down to earth people.emily is a sweet gorgeous girl that i have always seen have fun and truley enjoy participating in pageants.my name is nikol and my son Chase Cole has participated in pageant since he was a about 6months old.Chase just turned two so he is almost a pageant vetren.we have competed in pageants where emily has competed and they have always been so sweet to the baby(chase)so really unless you know the Tye's i cant see how you can comment.Good luck Emily in your future what ever it may bring will be big and wonderful.we hope to see you soon at a pageant!nikol and Chase Cole

Having watched the re-run of Showbiz Moms and Dads; I felt I had to comment. I am a mum of 2 from Scotland and a Social Worker working with children and families. I have to say, that whilst you (Debbie) were portrayed by the media as a pushy parent, I feel you were very misrepresented. In my eyes as a trained professional I could see the love and adoration that you showered on both of your children, your daughter seemed happy and displayed typical characteristics of a 4 year old child. She is adorable and I wish you and her all the luck in the world. I wish that some of my clients displayed just an ounce of your love. Good Luck x
