The four classic books by your girlfriend's imaginary lover, the artist-poet-wowlebrity Louis Cannizzaro (I Love My Girlfriend, To My Sweetheart, Full of Grace, and Have Faith) are now available for the first time in one 200-page large-scale volume, simply titled To My Sweetheart. Cannizzaro's a buddy of ours so we are honor-bound to say only nice things about him, but Pulitzter- and Tony-winning playwright Brian Yorkey, author of Next to Normal, has no such allegiance, yet he says the book is "ravishing and infinite in its reach... The world Louis lives in, and cheerfully invites us to share, is at once dark and beautiful and full of light." Of course, most females already keep Lou's four pocket-size volumes close by in their handbags for a quick romantic pick-me-up during the day, but this new book is for the coffee table.
