John Galliano wore a conservative black polka dotted neckerchief and Edwardian sack coat with the rarely seen "shirt-over-vest" combo to HIS trial yesterday for using anti-Semitic slurs in a drunken rant at a Paris cafe back in February. His hair was worn long and loose while his pencil mustache was neatly trimmed and appropriately sleazy. In short, he looked like a highwayman out of Dickens, ready to snatch small children from their carriages and roast them over a spit. He testified that he remembered nothing of the incident due to his triple addiction to alcohol, barbituates, and sleeping pills. Prosecutor Anne de Fontette didn't request jail time, but asked for a fine of no less than $14,400 for him. The verdict in the one-day trial is expected at a later date. (via HuffPo)
