The acronym WTF gets thrown around all too frequently these days, either on things mundane ("Out of mayonnaise? WTF") or obvious ("Kim Kardashian's ass, wtf, man?"). I think I have found a genuine WTF moment though right here, though. Sit down. It's Sammy Davis Jr singing the theme song to Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. Disco-style. WTF, right? It's from his 1975 album The Song and Dance Man. Did you even know there was a theme song that extended beyond the plaintive call "Mary Hartman? Mary Hartman?" One that includes pounding percussion and Vegas-style runs and soaring chord progressions? Now you do. What. The. Fuck.
