SNL: A Taste of New York

Jim Carrey was actually a fine and funny host last night on Saturday Night Live, keeping his usually unmanageable shtick in check and focused, while staying true to his bent. Here he is in a sad little sketch with Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen giving tourists to the city a junkie's-eye view of New York. It's kind of like something off Lou Reed's Berlin album. So we figure with last night's hosting duty and his terrific, almost nuanced performance in the Philip Morris movie, it looks like Carrey has some future left in him.
