Many within the gay community are outraged and no longer support President Obama because of his continued defense of discrimination against gay Americans. Dan Choi has gone on the warpath over Obama's betrayal on Don't Ask Don't Tell and just last week, Dan Savage, the creator of the 'It Gets Better' project literally called the Obama administration out for their cowardice and pathetic silence on the issue of LGBT teen suicide and told them quite clearly: “FUCK YOU, you pack of co-opting cowards.” Apparently feeling the heat, President Obama finally took the time to speak out on the matter of LGBT teen suicide and anti-gay bullying. It's really sad that it took this long, and pathetic that President Obama literally had to be shamed into doing it. But for some young gay kid out there, it just might help. It may have been too little, but it’s not too late.
