Former Lieutenant Dan Choi struck while the injunction against DADT enforcement was still hot and not only re-enlisted but was apparently accepted (at a lower enlisted rank and pending Dan's medical) into the US Army yesterday at the Times Square Recruiting Center in NYC. There was a huge media presence and Dan had to knock several times and wait several minutes but he was finally allowed entry. Dan had originally wanted to enlist in the Marines but found that at 29 he is one year too old. Choi says he found today's event to be "absolutely exciting, absolutely vindicating." Congrats Dan!
