Senior White House Adviser Calls Homosexuality a Lifestyle Choice

Senior White House Adviser, Valerie Jarrett, is now apologizing after she outraged many within the LGBT community when she referred to the homosexuality of Justin Aaber, a gay 14-year-old who committed suicide last month, as a “lifestyle choice.” Jarrett now says that she “misspoke” in a statement released to the media. “In a recent interview I was asked about the recent tragedies about gay youth who have committed suicide, and I misspoke when I referred to someone's sexual identity as a "lifestyle choice." I meant no disrespect to the LGBT community, and I apologize to any who have taken offense at my poor choice of words.” (via The Huffington Post)
