I received this enlightening email yesterday that helps to add some more detail to my strange little Tony Curtis story:

"Hi, I am sure that many of your readers will find that story about the homeless guy having sex with Tony Curtis not to be true. BUT, I will tell you that it is absolutely true. Almost 15 years ago my buddy Howard and I were walking down 23rd street, right past the Chelsea Hotel on our way to his bank when we ran into Val. He was screaming, on the top of his lungs, "I Fucked Tony Curtis in the Ass"; he was eating and spitting a ham sandwich as he screamed that phrase. We were hysterical, but composed enough to talk to him about it. He said that he was the lead singer for a do-wop band from the 60's. He also iterated that he had sex with many other famous people, many of which I can no longer recall. Anyway, he was cordial...but a bit crazy. Through the course of the 8 years that I lived in Manhattan Howard and I ran into him a couple more times. We had great conversations with him, and of course he asked for money, for which we obliged. I now live in North Carolina, and I am still friends with Howard; he was the one that forwarded me the link to your article. I am glad that someone else had this experience as well. - Jack Franco"
