James St. James and Thairin Smothers had a fabulous evening at the opening of Barry Morse's "Narcisissy" show at Antebellum Gallery. James got a gallery tour from the artist himself - who appeared that night as one of his delightfully warped and colorful alter egos Aunt Connie, and mingled with the crowd that included gallery founder Rick Castro, Morse's frequent producer Matt Johnstone, RuPaul's Drag U's Tammie Brown (out of drag that night), BUTT magazine's Adam Baran, Tosh Berman (star of Warhol's Tarzan and Jane) and his artist wife Luna Menoh, 48 Laws of Power author Robert Greene, performance artist (and contestant on Bravo's current series Work of Art) Nao Bustamente, UK's Little Joe magazine editor Sam Ashby, Mynx's Ara Thorose (sporting his upcoming "Roadkill" fashion line), Sex Artiste, Eric Mueller, Jason North and many more. "Narcisissy" runs at Antebellum (1643 N. Las Palmas Ave.) through June 26. Stop by tonight when the gallery is open 5-9pm for the first Hollywood Art & Culture Walk.
