Instant Classic!Wednesday, April 14, 2010 10:05 AM
It was probably the best moment of television in the last 20 years. So unexpected. So fabulous. "A masterstroke of marketing," says The Wrap. At the end of the episode, when everybody started to switch away, A FRAME-FOR-FRAME RECREATION of the Vogue video by Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) appeared to trumpet next week's big Madonna episode. Brilliant! And not just a few seconds of it, but THE WHOLE THING! It just kept going and going, getting more brilliant and more surreal by the second! And it was incredibly satisfying for me PERSONALLY because I HAD JUST MET JANE LYNCH earlier in the evening at the Season 3 premiere party for The Big Gay Sketch Show. I spoke to her for a hot second on camera for DFS (lovely woman), but the whole time I was talking to her I was thinking: "I hope I make it home in time for Glee!" Which is one of those Hollywood things that happens so often. Very "I wish Brad Pitt would shut up, I'm trying to watch the movie," you know. But I'm certainly glad I didn't miss it. FABULOUS! FABULOUS! FABULOUS!
