John Tesh Once Made Beautiful Music... With Oprah

Serial biographer Kitty Kelley, in her new book, Oprah, writes that musician, TV personality, and giant among men (he's 6'6") John Tesh and queen of all women Oprah Winfrey were a hot couple for a while in Nashville in the 1970s when both were getting started on their careers. They even lived together. That is, until Tesh got up and left Oprah in the middle of the night, disliking the pressure of being half of an interracial couple. Or, as Kelley writes, “He looked down and saw his white body next to her black body and couldn’t take it anymore.” Of course, Winfrey's people have not responded to the story, but Tesh, now a born-again Christian, verified it to the New York Daily News. "Oprah and I were cub reporters in Nashville nearly 40 years ago," he said, "and we dated for a short time.
