Cody Linley is Broadway boundWednesday, November 25, 2009 12:55 PM tags: Broadway Bound, Cody Linley, dancing with the stars, former twink, Hannah Montana, musical, the 1940s, tween sensation, twink, World War II
After the runaway smash success of his recent horror flick Forget Me Not (huh?), the Hannah Montana and Dancing with the Stars cutie is hoofin' it over to the the Great White Way in an all new production of Over Here. Glad to see he's putting those dancing muscles to good use! And look at how WONDERFUL he looks without those boy-bangs! Anyway, according to Wikipedia, "Over Here begins as a nostalgic look at 1940s America but quickly evolves into a social commentary about the fear of dying in battle, prejudice, and discrimination." Wheeeee! Interestingly enough, the original production opened in 1974 and featured the following cast: Patty and Maxene Andrews (of the Andrews Sisters), newcomers John Travolta, Treat Williams, Marilu Henner, the always taptastic Ann Reinking, and Samuel E. Wright (who went on to international stardom as the voice of Sebastian in The Little Mermaid)! How's THAT for a cast! Let's see if Cody's version can serve up the same star power!
