(4:56) Minutes of Joseph Gordon-LevittSunday, November 22, 2009 09:20 AM
Yes, everybody's favorite grown-up child star Joseph Gordon-Levitt gave 150% performing that inarguably awesome mini version of Donald O'Connor's "Make 'Em Laugh" routine from Singin' in the Rain last night during his hosting monologue on SNL – but it was that extra 50% that began to grate after the first minute or two. He was so bursting at the seams with jazz hands and face, exuberant singing, manic dancing, and backflips off walls, it was as if he were making an audition tape. We almost got delayed whiplash as a result of Gordon-Levitt's overheated eagerness following so closely on the heels of the icy hosting duties of January Jones last week. But we still love him. Put on your neck brace and watch the clip.
