    For reasons known only to her at the moment, Charlize Theron pulled out of The Danish Girl, Tomas Alfredson's film adaptation of David Ebershoff's novel based on the true story of Danish painter Einar Mogens Wegener, the world's first recipient of sex reassignment surgery, back in 1931.
