James St. James and wowlebrity Thairin Smothers set out for an
ambitious night of party-hopping. They start off at Kenny Scharf's
opening for his new show at the Honor Fraser gallery, where they chat
with Kenny about his Cosmic Cavern (raved about in the NY Times) and have a scary encounter with clowns wielding video cameras. Next they hit up David LaChapelle's opening for
his "Rape of Africa" show, where James
talks with the photographer himself, as well as Allan Hyde (Godric on True Blood), Lisa Edelstein from Fox's House, Tony Ward, Santino Rice, Michael Schmidt, Ghanese supermodel Nana, and Kevin Stea (one of the dancers in Madonna's "Vogue" music video), among others. James and Thairin end the night with a
romp through A Club Called Rhonda, where the cute crowd dances to acid house.
