Has Hillary Had Enough?Thursday, September 10, 2009 10:25 AM
The New York Post is reporting that Hillary Clinton has become increasingly frustrated with her lack of authority and the incredibly slow pace of the White House vetting process. "President Obama's picks fly in even if they didn't pay their taxes. But her picks take forever," noted one Democrat. "Plus, she has no real clout over Holbrooke or Mitchell." Richard Holbrooke is Obama's "special representative" for Afghanistan and Pakistan. George Mitchell is "special envoy" to the Middle East. Clinton is said to resent being hamstrung by the Obama administration and has begun to consider resigning her post as Secretary of State. Rumor has it that she may try to retake her old senate seat currently held by Kristin Gillibrand or even a possible run for the NY Governor’s office. It goes without saying, that if Hillary Clinton resigns, 2012 just got a whole lot more interesting.
