American FlaggWednesday, September 09, 2009 10:15 AM
Josh Flagg, along with Chad Rogers and Madison Hildebrand, is a dashing young real estate agent working LA's pricey neighborhoods on World of Wonder's hit reality show Million Dollar Listing, which premieres its second season on Bravo October 12. But it seems Flagg has also written a book. A Simple Girl: Stories My Grandmother Told Me took 10 years from idea to publication and tells the story of Edith Flagg, a Holocaust survivor who was an active member of the Dutch Underground responsible for saving thousands of Jewish lives during WWII. Later, the single mother emigrated to America with only five dollars, which she managed to turn into a multi-million-dollar clothing business. One of her achievements, her grandson says, was introducing polyester to the US. So it's kind of a rags-to-wrinkle-resistant-shmata story. And it looks like Flagg is somewhat wrinkle resistant herself. While the book is in stores like Target and Barnes & Noble and on Amazon for a mere $20, if you buy the book at JoshFlag.com, Josh will give all the net profits to the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. So that's settled then.
