EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: soap star's real life saga of madness and matricide

Of course gay storylines are all the rage in soap land these days, so The Young & the Restless has brought back openly gay actor Thom Bierdz to play the suddenly gay Philip Chancellor. I don't watch Y & R so I don't know if this is a big deal or not. WHAT I DO KNOW is that Thom was a fellow LAMBDA Literary Award nominee last year for his true crime memoir Forgiving Troy. It's the rather harrowing real-life story of his brother, who murdered his mother with a baseball bat, and how he eventually learned to forgive him. Pretty powerful stuff. Here he is, in this exclusive WOW TV video clip, from a reading at A Different Light book store that we both did. PS-- he's pretty hot.
